01The Founder's Vision

I knew something wasworking.

It began as instinct — the quiet certainty of a man who had spent years walking the gardens, tasting samples, and listening to growers across India.

Shri S. P. Ghuwalewala had built a deep understanding of what made a cup of tea truly satisfying. He believed there was room for a brand that delivered consistency without compromise — pure tea, honestly priced, made the way Indian families drank it every day.

That belief became the foundation of everything that followed — and it still guides every decision we make today.

02The Beginning

The first cup ofDholagiri.

The first batches of Dholagiri tea were blended with the same care that defines us today — every leaf hand-selected, every blend tasted and approved, every batch packed with intention.

Tea has always been more than a beverage in India. It's how we welcome guests, mark moments, and find a few minutes of stillness in a busy day. From the very first cup, Dholagiri was made to honour that tradition.

Decades later, that first cup still sets the standard for everything we do.

03An Introduction

Our journeyso far.

Dholagiri is a name built on decades of trust, experience, and dedication to quality tea. Established in the early 1970s, the Dholagiri Group has grown with one clear purpose — to deliver pure, flavourful tea that fits seamlessly into everyday Indian life.

Founded by Shri S. P. Ghuwalewala, a respected tea technocrat with over five decades of hands-on experience, Dholagiri was shaped by deep knowledge of tea cultivation, blending, and packaging. What began as a passion for quality soon became a trusted household brand.

Today, this legacy is carried forward by Shri Rajeev Nayan Ghuwalewala, ensuring that the values of integrity, consistency, and value-for-money remain central to everything we do.

Present Day

Carrying onthe legacy.

Today, the values laid down by Shri S. P. Ghuwalewala are carried forward by his son — Shri Rajeev Nayan Ghuwalewala, the present Managing Director of Dholagiri.

Every blend that leaves our doors still passes through the cupping table — tasted, evaluated, approved. The standard has not moved in five decades, and it will not move now.

The Founder

A legendary planter,a life in tea.

Shri S. P. Ghuwalewala spent more than five decades among the tea gardens of India — walking the rows, tasting the lots, listening to the growers. He was, in every sense, a planter first.

The respect he earned across the industry was hard-won. He understood every part of the journey from leaf to cup — the cultivation, the manufacture, the blending, the packing — and it was that complete understanding that gave him the conviction to build a brand of his own.

Dholagiri is the result of that life's work. Every principle this company stands by today — integrity, consistency, value, dedication — was written first in the tea gardens, decades before the brand existed.

“He didn't just know tea. He lived it — and everyone around him knew that.”

Our Promise

We deliver what we promise, and stand by every claim.

Dholagiri is built on ethical business practice — honest sourcing, honest pricing, honest labels. What's on the pack is what's in the cup. No shortcuts. No compromises. Five decades on, that's still the only way we know how to do it.

How We Keep That Promise

Four principles,every batch.

These aren't slogans we put on packaging. They're the principles that decide what we sell — and just as importantly, what we don't.

01

Integrity

We say what we do and do what we say. Every claim on every pack is something we'd say to a friend over a cup of chai.

02

Consistency

The cup you drink today should taste like the cup you drank ten years ago. Decades of the same standard, every batch, every pack.

03

Value for Money

Premium tea shouldn't be a luxury. We work hard at every step — sourcing, blending, packing — so a great cup stays affordable.

04

Dedication

Five decades of taste-testing, supplier visits, and tweaking blends. The work never stops because the cup never stops mattering.

“What began as a passion for quality soon became a trusted household brand. The values stayed the same — only the kitchens changed.”
